This recall involves electronic thermostats identified by a manufacturing date of 1108 and the following model numbers:

STE402NPW

STE402NPW5

STE402NPW24

STE403NPW24

The manufacturing date and model numbers are visible on the lower back of the units.

Hazard Identified

Due to a production process error, upon installation the recalled units could smoke or develop soot, posing a fire hazard to the consumer.

Neither Stelpro Design nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these thermostats.
Corrective Action

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled thermostats and remove and replace the units. Consumers can contact Stelpro Design to arrange for product return.
