Christmas Tree Safety
We know when Christmas is coming every body wants to buy natural Christmas tree.Considering buying natural Christmas three:
First:
Water the three!. The water will keep the tree from drying plus help keep its forest fragrance, adding to the festive atmosphere.
But if you have non natural tree please remember to keep the tree dry.
Typically, it is electric lights that short out, open flames from candles, or lighters or matches that are responsible for tree fires. A well watered tree will reduce these hazards significantly. You place a tree in a stand with 7-8 liters of water. Maintain the fluid level for the duration of the holiday. Very important: keep that tree wet!!!
Second:
Inspect the electric lights! Look for the CSA(Canadian Standards Association) mark when you purchase the lights. As for your old lights, before you plug them in or put them up, inspect every string, and throw out any lights that have frayed cords, cracked lamp holders or loose connections. If you have to replace any bulbs, make sure the new bulb matches the voltage and wattage of the original.
Third:
Turn the lights off! If you are going out or going to bed, turn off the lights. This decreases the incidence of fire and saves energy costs. When you pack up the decorations at the end of the season, use the manufacturer’s box. The original packaging will contain manufacturer’s instructions.
