Recall Notice : Grass Trimmer !

Product Name Grass Trimmer Joint Recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC), and Honda Canada Full Product Description This recall involves the Honda HHT35 Trimmer. The product is used for trimming weeds, grass, and small bushes. The trimmer has a silver shaft with a gas powered Honda engine located at the top, bicycle-style handlebar grip for controlling the product, and a trimmer head at the bottom. A label on the shaft includes the words "Honda" and "HHT35S." Trimmers subject to this recall can be identified by model number HHT35SUKCT and serial numbers between HAHA1002317 and HAHA1014741. The serial numbers can be found on the shaft below the handlebars. Hazard Identified The shaft can crack and cause the lower gear case and cutting attachment to detach, posing a laceration hazard to the operator and bystanders. American Honda Motor Company is aware of 11 incidents of broken or cracked shafts. No injuries have been reported. Neither Honda Canada nor Health Canada have received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these recalled trimmers. Corrective Action Consumers should immediately stop using the affected trimmers contact the nearest Honda Power Equipment dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. Approximately 14,000 of the recalled trimmers were distributed in the United States.
