Timing is Everything!

When should a prospective home-buyer order an inspection?

Some buyers may consider having a home inspection performed prior to making an offer on a home. This may sound like good advice, saving time by eliminating the possibility of a deal falling trough, but it may actually be counterproductive.for example, buyers can make low-ball offers based upon pre-contract inspections, this turning off sellers.
You should, however, order a home inspection soon after your purchase offer has been accepted and you have signed an agreement of sale. Many real-estate contracts allow a limited number of days to complete a home inspection(and then to request repairs,or cancel the contract if needed)
