Full Product Description

This recall involves combination electric grills/griddles with dual thermostatic controls identified by model number BRTGG010.

There are three positions for the grill plates: fully open, closed on food and locked at a specific height. The stainless steel grills/griddles have "Wolfgang Puck Bistro Collection" stamped on the front of the unit next to the control dials.
Hazard Identified

A defect in the electrical wiring of the appliance could potentially cause a shock hazard as well as an overheating hazard.

The manufacturer has received four reports of electrical shock and two reports of melted plastic housing. No injuries have been reported in Canada.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadian related to the use of this product.
Corrective Action

Consumers should immediately stop using the Wolfgang Puck Reversible Tri-Grill/Griddle and contact the manufacturer for return instructions. All known purchasers are being contacted directly by The Shopping Channel.
